APAGear II Archives | Volume 1, Number 7 | July, 1999 |
Ahoy!
You've probably noticed that this issue is late.
You can thank England. Yeah, that's right. I'm blaming it 100% entirely on England. Ordinarily, I would have assembled this issue of APAGear II last weekend, but, thanks to England, last weekend was the anniversary of the United States' independence. Since I'm a citizen of the U.S., and since it's strictly forbidden to, um, work on, er, giant robot science fiction...on the Fourth of July, and, er, since the history of the U.S. if centered around obeying laws, um... I couldn't work on it last weekend. Yeah, that's right.
That's a pretty flimsy excuse, but it's what you get. *^_^*
So anyway, stop reading this Organ and start reading this issue!
(And carefully ignore the fact that I've left out that long-promised review of the Star Wars LEGOS...)
Oh yes, one final note, particularly suited to the APAGear Summer Sports Spectacular: Yesterday (Saturday, July 10, 1999), the U.S. women's soccer team beat China in the Women's World Cup. Congratulations! You all know what that means, don't you? You're going to have to start calling it soccer instead of football. *^_^*
Your Vaguely Humble Servant,
Christian Schaller
APAGear II Distribution Manager
Well, hey, Janne Kemppi gets the Keener Award this month. Christian Schaller gets the runner-up. Congratulations! Is it weird to refer to myself in the third person? Maybe.
No one has dared try the Count the Springers contest, so there's no update. Whine. Whine. Whine. Why hasn't anyone even hazarded a guess? It's because you don't read this part of the issue, do you? Harumph. Well, fine. Next month will have the answer, and maybe a new question. See April's House Organ for more details.
Hey! We got some fan mail! Woohoo!
