APAGear II

The House Organ

Words of Questionable Wisdom from the Distribution Manager

Well, well, well. We're actually on-time this month! Incredible, isn't it? I think, in order to make it even more on-time, I'll wrap this editorial up real soon.

One thing I'd like to address is Gear Krieg. I forgot to mention last month that we here at APAGear will be branching out into ("extending our sphere of influence to include," "annexing," whatever) Dream Pod 9's newest game, Gear Krieg. It's two-fisted pulp super-science, baby. Dig it.

What does that mean for you?

Well, it means you'll probably see the occasional Gear Krieg story here in addition to the Heavy Gear articles. You will probably see more as the new line develops. If a dedicated APA develops for Gear Kreig, that would be great. For now, though, those of you out there who want to work on your writing through the Gear Krieg setting, join us.

Okay, that's all for now. I'm off to play Deus Ex, probably until far far too early in the morning. (Bloody friggin' game... Why'd they have to develop it for the Mac, too? Grumble grumble grumble...)

Your Vaguely Humble Servant,

Christian Schaller

Keener Awards

Harman Meyerhoff nails the Keener this month with his follow-up to his re-telling of the Black Talons' mission from the Heavy Gear II videogame. Janne Kemppi, it will come as no surprise, wins the runner-up with an article about political officers in the CEF.
