Notes

The Demeter is a long-rang exploration and survey vehicle, designed to support the South's various Mobile Research Farm missions (see Life on Terra Nova First Edition, p. 78 for more information). Although capable of operating for significant periods on its own, the Demeter is usually accompanied by satellite vehicles. An armed escort also accompanies a Mobile Research Farm group, to safeguard the farm scientists and their valuable equipment.
