Notes | |
Officially known as the Grizzly Emergency Reponse, this firefighting variant is usually referred to as the Grizzly "All Call," "Five Alarm" or "BFD," in reference to its employment in the largest of disasters. The Grizzly "All Call" is often used in support of Firefighter Jaguars (see Northern Vehicles Compendium 1, p. 102), although some departments limit its use to battalion or incident commanders.
Sales of both firefighting Gear models have increased dramatically after the destruction of Peace River, prompting Northco to produce a less expensive version of the Firefighting Jaguar (see below). Northco also donated several examples of both models to the Fire Department of Peace River (FDPR) in the Spring of TN 1940 in a goodwill gesture. |
