Notes
After nearly a cycle's worth of field tests, the M1E9 Razor Back Arrow Polizei Long Fang Abrams had become a favorite amongst tank crews in the Olduvai Precinct of the Mekong Peacekeepers. The test vehicles were returned to BCW in Summer TN 1934, ready to be reconditioned, type-standardized as the M1A9, and brought into active Peacekeeper service.

Then the Peacekeepers said, "There is just one thing...."

During the test and evaluation phase, the Peacekeepers found no use for the Hammerstrike-II antiarmor system included on the turret right side of the M1E9. The system was intended to provide flexibility to tank commanders when engaging armored targets, particularly when the target was out of line-of-sight. The Peacekeepers, however, used the Hammerstrike missiles a total of three times in their tests, all against simulated targets, and were quite vocal in their preference for the tank's 120mm gun. As one Peacekeeper put it, "A missile's nice, but it's just not the same."

Taking this into consideration, and acknowledging the preference of some Peacekeepers for an integrated air defense capability, the BCW engineering team removed the Hammerstrike system and replaced it with a four-tube box launcher for the FIM-92A Stinger antiaircraft missile. This change also had the effect of signicantly reducing the per-unit cost of the design, as the electronics of the Stinger system are much less costly than those of the Hammerstrike.

With these modifications, the Peacekeepers had accepted the design as the M1A9 Razor Back Stinger Polizei Long Fang Abrams, and were planning to distribute it to select tank crews in the Olduvai Precinct when hostilities erupted between the CNCS and AST in Summer TN 1936. The Mekong Dominion subsequently withdrew from the Treaty of Coronado, and the Peacekeeper contracts for the M1A9 were cancelled.

The examples that had been produced so far were transferred to the Hong Kong Crusaders, where they have excelled in command and special mission roles. With the conclusion of the Interpolar War, several member city-states of the New Coalition have expressed interest in the design. Banzaidyne will make further announcements as this program develops.
