The Emergency Power Boost Perk represents applying full afterburner to reach a Top Flight Speed of 100 hexes per turn (3000 kph). However, unlike the SR-71 Blackbird, the MiG-25 cannot sustain high-speed flight for extended periods - after a few minutes, the engines begin to burn out (requiring a full replacement after the flight, taking the aircraft out of service for an extended period) and the fuel becomes dangerously hot.
Emergency Power Boost can only be applied for a total of 10 turns (5 minutes) per flight before the aircraft takes a Light Damage effect. An additional Light effect must be taken evey minute after that.
