 The Su-30 variant of the Flanker substantially improves the type's capabilities against ground targets. Where the Su-27's fire control system can only manage unguided weapons ("dumb" bombs, rockets, etc.), the Su-30 can carry a wide range of guided air-to-ground ordnance.
