Notes | |
Based on the Assault Hunter chassis, the Hunter Long Rifle is intended both to complement the Assault Hunter and act as an independent long-range fire platform. The only substantial difference between the Long Rifle and the standard Assault Hunter is the replacement of the LGPC Snub Cannon with a reduced-pressure 90mm field gun. This weapon offers a good balance of range, firepower and cost, and Hunter Long Rifles are often teamed with Scope Hunters in dedicated "scout/sniper" teams.
Some units equipped with both Assault Hunters and Hunter Long Rifles have formed specialized "heavy hitter" squads, with a pair each of Assault Hunters and Hunter Long Rifles backed up by a Scope Hunter. This combination of long and short range firepower makes these squads formidable opponents. |
