Although it is never mentioned during recruiting drives, military police are as necessary to maintain discipline in the Northern Guard as they are in any other armed service. The fact that Northern Guard MPs have both wide discretionary powers and the authority to use deadly force makes them few friends among other units.

Many military police who served with Southern troops during the War of the Alliance were suitably impressed by the power and capability of the Cobra MP, but all requests to develop a similar machine from the Grizzly have been denied. The Northern Guard high command feels that such a machine would imply that the Guard suffers from the same lack of discipline as the MILICIA. Some units still prefer the presence of a Gear with a fearsome reputation, though, and the standard Nemesis Jaguar has become as popular with high-profile military police pilots as it has with regimental Duelists.
